Storyboard Text

  • I am going to tell you about Volcanoes and how they were formed
  • Volcanoes such as Yellowstone Caldera are created by plate tectonics. I am going to tell you how this landform was created.
  •  In my research I found out that the Yellowstone Caldera was created millions of years ago when a "Hotspot" formed below the earth and pushed the magma out, and as the volcano erupted, the magma hardened and kept building the volcano (Erosion after the mountain was created)
  • Volcanoes are made by tectonic plates smashing into each other, forcing the magma up, like this
  • They are Convergent because the plates are moving to each other
  • Tectonic Plate (Juan De Fuca Plate)
  • Tectonic Plate (North American Plate)
  • Magma forced up and creates the Volcanos
  • That's How Volcanoes (Yellowstone Caldera) Are Formed!
