After a harsh discussion of Tom's, Daisy's, and Gatsby's feelings for each other, Tom commands Gatsby and Daisy to leave in Gatsby's car to Long Island
God, what was he thinking?
When Gatsby and Daisy were returning home, Myrtle jumps in front of the car, mistaking the passengers for Tom and his wife.
Nick, hear me out: Daisy was driving the car and suddenly a woman ran in front of out car Daisy must of panicked...we both did actually, and before we knew it that woman was dead
I'm sorry about what you had to go through
Tom and Nick arrive to the location of the incident near the valley of ashes. Wilson tells them that Myrtle was hit by a yellow car. Tom then remembers that Gatsby and Daisy was driving a yellow car
After returning Wilson to the office, Tom returns home with Nick. Filled with anger, Tom draws the conclusion that Gatsby has killed Myrtle.
Nick and Tom returns to Tom's house, where he suddenly meets up with Gatsby who is hiding in the bushes and gives Nick the details of the incident.
Daisy and Gatsby are then found at a dining table by Nick, both sitting at opposite ends. They both seem very miserable sitting down at a table. Nick leaves them and walks outside into the shining moon light on the streets.
