  • Welcome to the West, the Dust Bowl and droughts are common even before the Great Depression started.
  • The factory is bankrupt, all workers are fired. 
  • The banks are frozen, there is no money to give back. Independent Banks were not backed by the Government, and had to close due to the Stock Market Crash. 
  • We have been in debt since the early 1920's. Will our hardship ever end?
  • The factory owner fired almost everyone from working, and now I cannot help keep my family fed. And I think the owner fired mom too. 
  • Over 9,000 banks failed after the Stock Market Crash, and the amount of money lost during the 1930's was approximately $140 Billion.
