- There was a boy named Harry Potter. He lived with his aunt and uncle in the cupboard under the stairs. A man named Hagrid came and told Harry that he was a wizard and he was admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
- Rising Action
- Harry goes to Hogwarts and meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. They all get sorted into Gryffindor House. They make an enemy named Draco Malfoy who is a Slytherin. They are told they are not allowed to go to the East Corridor on the 3rd floor.
- Climax
- One day the trio is going back to the Gryffindor common room when the staircase changes. They go to the 3rd floor corridor not knowing that they were there until Hermione informs them. They learn that Fluffy was guarding the sorcerer's stone. They think that Professor Snape is going to steal it so they make a plan to save it.
- Resolution
- They get past Fluffy, but they had get through many different challenges like life sized chess and a very hard riddle. Harry was the only one allowed to go to the last room.
- Harry finds out that it was Professor Quirrel, who was working with Voldemort, was trying to steal the stone. Quirrel's skin would burn off when Harry touched him, so Harry defeated him and saved the Sorcerer's Stone.
- Professor Dumbledore tells Harry why Professor Quirrel could not touch him, which was love. They have the end of the year feast, and it looked like Slytherin was going to win the house cup, but Dumbledore gives Gryffindore some more points because the trio saved the Sorcerer's Stone, so they win the house cup.
