  • The Empress of Liquid is explaining to her  daughter what happens when a liquid is heated up & turns into a gas. When a liquid is heated up & turned into a gas it's called evaporation.
  • 1. Honey, I'm the Empress of Liquid.  When Liquid is heated up with fire  we turn into gas.
  • 3. Yes
  • 2. So a gas is like a cloud.
  • In gas the molecules go all over the place they are constant. In  cold water the molecules they are attracted to eachother but they move slow.
  • I'm  the ice queen & I'm a solid. An example of a solid is a block of ice (like the one behind me).
  • In a solid the water molecules don't move around they stay in place & vibrate.  When a solid is heated  up it melts & turns into  liquid.
  • When the water is heated the water molecules. The heat affects the motion of the molecules.
  • You can tell if the cold or hot waters molecules are moving fast  by putting
