Storyboard Text

  • Get rid of the THATS!
  • Qualifying words very, really, pretty, definitely, completely, etc.
  • exclaimed, shrieked, declared, etc.
  • I discovered if I just start writing without thinking too much about it, then I can write better!
  • Ashlee would like to say she has become a better writer and is on her way to write her day away on a park bench, but she is not sure she has.
  • I don't know, I don't know, I don't know...
  • The mini lessons were tremendously beneficial. Ashlee can see her writing sounding better because of them.
  • Good thing writing isn't only five paragraph essays.
  • Ashlee now has editing and revising techniques to go back to!
  • Even after all the information Dr. Lawrence taught the class, Ashlee still lacks confidence in her writing.
  • It is also texting, instagramming, planning, giving directions, telling a story, making a list, emailing an old friend, creating a bumper sticker, etc.
  • If Ashlee remembers what she learned in Teaching with Writing; she will be successful in the rest of her writing life!
