Storyboard Text

  • As president of the United States, they have many responsibilities and tasks. One important one is Chief Legislator, this job must sign bills, veto bills, and influence the congress.
  • I have been thinking of potential laws when I moved into office and thought of a good law to give fees for any way that a citizen pollutes oceans and to ban plastic bags in our country to reduce the amount of plastic waste in our waterways.
  • Dear Congress, I think that we need to ban plastic bags in stores because it is making a large impact on our oceans and marine life. Also we should give fines for in any way polluting water ways. For example if someone leaves garbage on a beach, I believe they should be fined. Also in stores to reduce the amount of plastic that harms our marine life we should reduce the amount by having reusable bags to bring back and forth to stores. This would improve our environment and make our country clean.
  • Hello president, the Senates and House of Representatives have made a bill that we would like to have your approval and advice on the bill: Stores must not put the what the citizens have bought in plastic bags. The citizens must buy or bring reusable bags . If you bring food on beaches or pollute in the environment they will get a fine of $1,000 dollars
  • I would sign the bill.
  • I decided to sign the bill because this will guarantee the citizens keep a clean environment and benefit our marine life and oceans using less plastic.
