Elizear and his family arrived at Aushwitz in May 1944
MAY 1944 Auschwitz
Elizear was separated from his mother and sister
Elizear lied about both their ages so that they would remain together and alive. After talking to Dr. Mengele, Eliezer's father witnessed children being thrown into the fire alive; he feared the same could happen to his son.
With the thought of death near, Eliezer's father began weeping along with others. While in the concentration camp Elizear began losing faith and began to feel a rebellion for God.
Where is God?
As Eliezer began thinking of suicide, there was a glimpse of hope. Eliezer and his father were both saved from immediate death when they were assigned to a labor unit.
