  • Acrisios was given a prophecy that he will someday be killed by his grandson. The king is afraid. 
  • No!
  • You will be killed someday by your grandson!
  • The king Acrisios was so afraid that he locked his only daughter, Danae, in the dungeon. So she will never have children.
  • Father! Please let me out!
  • You will never have children in this prison Danae!
  • However, Zeus turned himself into golden rain and poured through the window. As rain poured on Danae, a baby began to develop. Nine months later, Danae gave birth to Perseus.
  • This is my son, Perseus.
  • After a long time of drifting, a fisherman finally found the chest and brought it to his brother, King Polydectes. Polydectes took the Perseus and Danae to his palace.
  • Very well, take them to my palace!
  • Brother Polydectes! I had found a chest that contains a beautiful maiden and baby with her!
  • One task Perseus was asked to complete when he grew up was to slay the monster Medusa. He killed her.
  • Ha! I finally killed you hideous monster Medusa!
  • Perseus decides to visit his long-lost grandfather and when Arcrisios got the words, he fled out of the city, still fearing the prophecy. 
  • I better flee before Perseus come and kill me!
  • I am going to visit my grandfather!
