  • French Revolution: Introduction
  • Will things ever get better?
  • We pay all these taxes and nothing good comes for us.. We will always be in poverty.
  • Factors that led to the Revolution
  • All the crops are dying, I have to feed my family, pay all these taxes, bread price is increasing. Everything is unfair!
  • Childish man get off the floor and quit whimpering we have stuff to do. Nothing can be perfect!
  • Meeting of the Estates General
  • 1st Estate
  • 3rd Estate
  • 2nd Estate
  • Social classes were un-fair and no one was equal which made things very hard and got really bad for the rich during this time. If you were born to be poor or a peasant you stayed that way. Nothing was fair.
  • The Tennis Court Oath
  • This is a outrage
  • There were many things leading up to the Revolution but higher taxes, higher prices in foods and every day needs, and bad harvest were the main ones. Because how is one suppose to feed there family with no income and such high prices of what they need?
  • The storming of the Bastille
  • Nothing that related to the 3 estates were fair. The 1st estates owned 10% of the land in France. Paid no taxes just like the 2nd estate which meant the 3rd estate paid all the taxes which made many things hard to pay for and was hard to live with all the hardships it just wasn't fair for the peasants
  • The Great Fear
  • Burn every document and the house!!!
  • 3 days after the National Assembly which was the 3rd estate gathered together were kicked out of there meeting room which had made them very upset. So they broke down a door to a indoor tennis court and stayed till they made a constitution.
  • We will just stay here!!
  • We are the national assembly and we have been kicked out!!
  • On July 14, 1789 a mob stormed a prison in Paris called The Bastille to get gunpowder for the weapons they had been gathering because rumor had it that Louis was going to use military forces to end the National Assembly .
  • The Bastille is burning.
  • We Need gunpowder!!!!
  • There was a rumor that nobles were hiring outlaws to terrorize the peasants. A wave of fear came across the peasants which left them outlaws themselves. They destroyed documents which bound them to pay feudal dues and burnt down homes.
  • Yes sir.
