In this scene, the towns people are in the courthouse and are just getting ready to leave. They are patiently waiting for the verdict, but Scout and Jem take a break.
In this scene; Scout, Jem, Aunt Alexandra, and Cal are eating dinner and talking about the case about Tom Robinson. Jem feels as Atticus has already won, but then Judge Taylor tells Tom some bad news.
After eating, Scout and Jem meet back at the deserted courthouse with Reverend Sykes.
In this scene, Judge Taylor comes in and asks the court to listen up. The townspeople come in to hear the news.
In this scene, the court waiting in awkward silence showing several emotions.
In this scene, Atticus walks in and whispers some seemingly melancholy news to Tom Robinson; everyone leaves.
