Storyboard Text

  • The Ordinary World
  • Belle's dress color matches her personality because she is peaceful and modest. 
  • Crossing the Threshold
  • Ordeal
  • Gaston's red shirt depicts violence and charisma because the village girls like him.
  • Belle is a girl who wishes for more in life. She finds her home bland and boring. She enjoys reading. Her town is not the right place for an adventurous girl. She is seen as an outcast.
  • The Road Back
  • Belle's dress represents her newfound happiness with the beast
  • Belle crosses the threshold when she discovers the beast has taken her father and she leaves her home in a small town to a castle in the forest
  • Resurrection
  • Gaston attacks the castle intending to kill the beast and leave Belle without anyone to turn to. The beast realizes letting go Belle means he'll never see her again. Gaston stabs the beast and Belle blames herself.
  • The Reward
  • Instead of returning back to the village, Belle decides it is no longer her home and chooses to go back to the castle to live with the beast.
  • The beast dies as Belle tells him she loves him, but luckily she tells him before the rose dies and he is resurrected.
  • Belle's reward is being reunited with her father and the beast (in human form.)
  • White represents the beast because after meeting Belle he found the light (positivity) in his life
