  • James Watson was born on April 6, 1928 in Chicago IL. He attended The University of Chicago at the age 15 and then attended Indiana university. He is married to Elizabeth Watson and has two children Rufus and Duncan.
  • Francis Crick was born on June 8, 1916, in the United Kingdom. He attended at University College London and university Cambridge. He was married to Odile Crick. He has three children micheal, Gabrielle, and Jaqueline.
  • In 1951, Watson went to Cambridge, England to work in the Laboratory in order to study the structure of DNA. There he met Crick and found they had the same interests.
  • With the help of Rosalind and Maurice Wilkins discovery of the x-ray photographic dna.
  • James Watson and Francis Crick were able to find the structure of dna after several attempts.
  • In 1953, Watson and Crick won the noble prize for their discovery of the double helix dna.
