Ah, the calm ocean waters. A perfect day as usual. Nothing going wrong, but is that true?
The ocean is full of life and amazing plants. Though all these things are spectacular, storms pass by and are getting more common due to global warming.
We burn coal and oil to get energy. This pollutes the atmosphere and sends out carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide heats up the atmosphere. This is what people refer to as global warming. We don't even need the energy. The sun gives us as much energy in three hours than we make in one year. The heat melts the ice, which is one of the only things that protect the ocean. The hotter the ocean is, the more hurricanes and tsunamis there will be.
