Storyboard Text

  • Nothing.
  • The Digestive System By Neil S. and Ashvin S.
  • Hey Inspector Spongebob what are you doing?
  • Ummmm.... yummy food... I just had a Krabby Patty at the Krusty Krab.
  • Although Inspector Spongebob said he is doing nothing, his body is actually digesting food.
  • Liver
  • Mouth
  • See that little bean-shaped thingy below the liver? That's the gallblader. The gallbladder stores bile (a digestive juice), which is made by the liver.
  • Esophagus
  • The pancreas regulates blood sugar and creates pancreatic juices (which digest food)
  • First the food enters the mouth, in which you chew. Then, the food goes through your esophagus to your stomach.
  • Stomach
  • Appendix (which has no known function)
  • Large intestine
  • After the food is digested in the stomach, it goes to the small intestine, which digests food for about 8-12 hours. It sucks up the nutrients from the food and carries it directly to the bloodstream. The food then continues to your large intestine, where all the water is absorbed. The waste that is left goes to your rectum, and it remains there for a while before exiting the body through the anus. The process of food coming from the mouth to the anus takes about 24-36 hours.
  • Small intestine
  • Anus
  • Rectum
  • Oh No I need to go to the bathroom! See you later Mr. Squidward
  • A day later, at the Krusty Krab...
  • Just ignore him... Squidward, just pretend he isn't there...
  • After the digestion, the waste leaves the rectum in the form of feces.
  • Thank you and we hope you enjoyed!
