Storyboard Text

  • In the Paleolithic ages, we lived in caves or rough, tent-like structures. We were nomads who had to move often in order to find food.
  • I think you forgot to say that they were temporary homes.
  • We used mud bricks packed together to build houses that were rectangular or round.
  • Sometimes, we added tree branches and stones to strengthen the walls and roof. We also had to climb on ladders to reach windows to climb into the houses.
  • We also dug pits for cooking in the floor and lined them with clay. We filled the pits with water and put in hot rocks to make the water boil.
  • Inside our houses, we have holes in the floor that we store food and water in.
  • In paleolithic times, we barely traded with other people and groups.
  • Yes! We were mostly concerned with animals, plants, and other resources we found nearby.
  • Trading allowed us to make use of more resources.
  • Great idea!
  • I think that we should make things that color better than what we have
  • That's right, Nick! Also, because traders met new people, ideas and knowledge spread throughout the world.
  • Communities impacted our lives in many ways. For example, it made our lives more comfortable and much safer.
  • We could defend ourselves more easily with our population increase.
