Storyboard Text

  • The Ordinary World
  • The Call to Adventure
  • Refusing the Call
  • The Hawaiian Princess, Palma, woke up and went and observed the sea just as she does every morning.
  • Crossing the Threshold
  • This morning the sea seemed a little choppy and she saw a whirlpool spinning far of shore. The fairy of the sea, Mona Loa, told her she was the only one who could stop the mysterious whirlpool.
  • Reward
  • As Princess of Hawaii, she thought that she couldn't possibly put herself in danger by going out to investigate.
  • Return
  • After much consideration, she decided that going out to investigate the whirlpool was the best thing to do. To her surprise, she grew a mermaid tail when she got in the water, giving her the ability to swim there easily.
  • When she got there, she found out that her long, lost, brother was frantically swimming inside. He had gone missing ten years prior and she overjoyed that she would be able to rescue him.
  • Upon returning, she became ill with a mysterious salt water poisoning and passed away. Her parents and brother grieved greatly. From then on, she was remembered as Princess Palma, Savior of the Sea.
