  • Ahhhhh!! A Cheetah is out to get me!
  • Getting food in
  • Hmmm..... that looks yummy.
  • Getting oxygen in
  • The air is so refreshing!
  • The Gazelle needs to run away from the Cheetah!
  • Moving reactants to cells
  • This is a long journey!
  • The Gazelle looks for some food and finds some glucose, so the gazelle eats the glucose and it is digested.
  • Creating energy
  • The gazelle inhales oxygen and it goes to the lungs.
  • Getting rid of waste products
  • The oxygen and glucose enter into the bloodstream and then into the cell.
  • YES!! VERY!!
  • Next, oxygen and glucose find themselves in the mitochondria. A chemical reaction called Cellular respiration takes place and ATP comes in to save the day, then water and carbon dioxide appear.
  • Wow this is so cool!
  • Ya! Very cool!
  • Finally, carbon dioxide and water exit through the gazelle's nose as the gazelle exhales.
  • Now I'm ready to run!
