  • Exposition 
  • Hey Forturnado, can you drink this cask of amontillado. If not I have someone else to drink it.
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • At the beginning of the story, Montressor says to Forturnado to test out a new cask of amontillado he bought and wants to see if it was worth his money. The beginning took place in a carnival where the servants are suppose to stay as Forturnado follows Montressr to his house.
  • Climax
  • The conflict in the story is man vs man. Montressor who is part of a family who takes insults seriously. Forturnado insults Montressor and wrongs him multiple times. Montressor wants revenge.
  • Falling Action
  • In the Rising Action, Montressor leads Foruturnado too the catacombs where he gets drunk and dizzy but, Montressor using reverse Physcology keeps Forturnado going. Finally, Montressor leads Fortunado to the hole which is 4 feet deep, 3 feet wide and 7 feet heigh.
  • Conclusion/Resolution
  • Montresser got the person he wanted in chains and trapped him like he wanted. This is revenge for insulting the great Montressor.
  • As Forturnate is still trapped in chains yelling still inside thinking its a joke. Montressor is too busy building the wall of Death. This is where Forturnado realizes its his end
  • The Story ends by Forturnado silenced as the wall being built and Montressor throws a torch in the area. He hears chains. wiggle. he ends off the story by saying R.I.P which is Rest In Peace. He says this because he himself is not at peace by Forturnado is.
