The falling action of the book is when Susan finds Ada and Jamie after the bombing. Luckily, they are all alive. She takes them to a train and they all ride back to Susan's house. It turns out, Susan doesn't have a house anymore due to the bombing.
The first symbol is Ada's club foot. I think this symbolizes how she overcame all of the difficulties in her life until it was like they never happened. The second symbol is Butter, Ada's horse. He symbolizes the new life Ada started and how she grew from beginning to end. The last symbol that I thought of was the bombing. It symbolized how Ada's life was turned upside down and then flipped over again.
The resolution of the book is kind of sad but also happy. Susan's house was directly hit by a bomb. Everyone is in shock and sad, but they are happy that they were all together. Everyone thought that Susan, Ada, and Jamie were dead, so they were al very happy to see them.
