First Day Struggles-part 2

If only I was outgoing enough to talk to new people.
I was a bit discouraged, because it seemed like everyone else already had a set group of friends.
For the most part, my friends and I ate in silence. I think we were all a little discouraged.
The bus ride home was strangely relaxing, after the wild day that I’d just had. I just sat and listened to the sound of the rain hitting the bus.
The bus driver was nearing my street, and it began to rain harder. I opened my backpack only to see that I didn’t have an umbrella...
...apparently my awful day wasn't over yet
My mom wasn’t at the end of the street to pick me up, so I decided my best option was to run home in the rain.
Carrying all my binders in my backpack, I ran through the downpour; avoiding puddles as I made my way to my house.
Only two houses away from my own, my mom drove up and saw me walking. Soaking wet, I climbed into the car and told her everything.
After that day, I had hope for the future, because things could only get better. No other day could be worse than my first day of high school.
