Good morning class! Today, we will be learning about mitosis!
Uh oh... this sounds hard.
Mitosis is a part of the cell cycle that consists of four phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.
To make this easier for you guys, I have made a short story so you guys can grasp the general idea of this process.
During this process, chromosomes in the cell condense, turning themselves into sister chromatids. After, the nuclear envelope breaks down.
After prophase, a collection of microtubules, called mitotic spindles, form causing the chromosomes line up.
