- Soldiers ate a lot of coffee salt pork and bread. And thats the only type of food that they would eat and they would get 1 pound of meat and bread to eat.

- So sometimes they were they for short terms like with little tents but then they were long terms for the winters and they would sleep in cabins trying not to die in the winter cold. But they would have to build what they slept in most of the time.

- The main medicine they could use to treat anything from a broken foot to a gun shot was malaria, morphine, chloroform were main ways to treat injury's.
- So if they were caught they would be killed be beaten or be put to work. There was not a thing that they could do to stop it. If they tryed to leave they would also be killed.
- So soldiers were all mostly treated the same they might not have gotten a lot of respect from it but they were still treated the same because you were seen as person giving you life to save everyone else. And these sodiers could move up in the ranks also and they would be completely free when they came back from war but most didnt make it back.
