Geographic Isolation By: Austin Dormann
How Geographic Isolation occurs
Geographic Isolation is the physical separation of a species by accident due to natural occurrences to create a barrier.
One day there is an earthquake that breaks off a huge chunk of ice. There was a group of Polar Bears that was split into two groups.
Now that they are separated, and they have no choice but to repopulate with each other.
There aren't really any more options with breeding so they lose genetic variation.
Since they had to mate with their own kind their species starts to change.
Over time the Population of the species grows and changes.
