Background information about Lincoln Steffens. Lincoln Steffens was a New York reporter who launched a series of articles in McClure's, called Tweed Days in St. Louis, that would later be published together in a book titled The Shame of the Cities.

Lincoln Steffens exposed corruption in St. Louis by writing "Tweed Days in St. Louis". It was named that because the practices were so corrupt and it costed taxpayers a lot of money.
Scene 2: Reporter talks about the outcomes of Lincoln Steffens actions.
Lincoln Steffens wanted to expose the bribery and corruption in the government. His exposes helped build support for reform and change.
