  • Long shot of Carl on the ground after hitting the stump.
  • "He hurdles Mount Everest!"
  • Extreme long shot of Carl standing in front of the house.
  • "Adventure is out there!"
  • Long shot of Ellie acting as Charles Muntz.
  • "It's a beautiful day, winds out of the east at ten knots."
  • Carl tries to jump over "Mount Everest." He hits the stump and falls. He gets up and continues to run until he hears something. Time: 12 seconds.
  • Shot reverse shot of Ellie and Carl trying to talk.
  • "What are you doing!?!"
  • "AHHHHHH!"
  • Carl hears a voice coming from a dilapidated house. He goes over to investigate the house. He crawls through the door, which is off the hinges. He wonders around until he sees a girl. Time: 13 seconds.
  • Medium shot to an extreme long shot of Carl getting his balloon.
  • "Well, go ahead. Go on"
  • Carl sees Ellie is in her make-believe cockpit. She is "flying" The Spirit of Adventure. Time: 18 seconds
  • Medium shot to an extreme long shot Carl falling through the floor.
  • "AHHHHH!"
  • Ellie scares Carl and demands to know what he is doing. He screams and lets go of his balloon. The balloon floats upstairs. Later, after talking to him, she gives him a grape bottle cap pin saying they are now in a club together.      Time: 20 seconds.
  • Ellie takes Carl upstairs to where his balloon is. She tells him to walk across a wooden beam to retrieve his balloon. Feeling like a real explorer, he builds up his courage and starts to walk across the beam. Time: 35 seconds.
  • The wooden beam gives and breaks sending Carl through the floor. Time: 3 seconds.
