  • In the book "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie" there are 7 main characters Jeffry,  Steven, Annette, Renee, Mr. and Mrs.  Alper, and Mrs. Galley. The setting of this book is in the hospital, the Alper's home, and the school. It would be in a modern time period and it is realistic fiction
  • Climax
  • Bye, Jeffy
  • When Jeffry falls off a kitchen stool in an oatmeal accident his noise won't stop bleeding, so the mom takes him to the hospital and this is when the family finds out that Jeffry has leukemia. A conflict asters from this  because from this moment on the family has to pay a lot of money, quit jobs, miss school, and everything will change.
  • Falling Actions
  • One rising action in this story is when the mom takes Jeffry to a hospital in Philadelphia every once a week to get the medicine to kill his cancer. Another rising action is when Steven gets therapy from Mrs. Galley after he is struggling in school and at home with this. A third one is when Steven is at his big concert, that he has a solo in, but before his solo he has to leave because Jeffry throws up and has to go to the hospital.
  • Resolution
  • The climax in the story is when Jeffry finally gets cleared from his leukemia because now everything can go back to the way it was, they don't have to keep getting more bills, they can get another job, they don't have to miss a lot of school, and they can go back to doing stuff that they would to began with.
  • One falling action in the story is that Steven dates Annette and no longer likes Renee in that way. Another one is that Steven's class graduates, and a third falling action is that Steven and Jeffry now have the time to play a board game together, which they do along with a couple of friends.

  • The resoulution in the story is that since, Jeffry's leukemia is cleared, they can now live there lives and move on from all of the worries they had after they figured out that Jeffry had leukemia.
