  • Let us revolt!
  • May 4th Movement of 1919
  • We want change!
  • Nationalist versus Communist, 1927
  • The Communists will never take control of China! It shall forever be in Nationalist hands!
  • Sun Yat-Sen, a nationalist in China, started the revolution with hopes to unify and modernize the Chinese government.
  • The Long March, 1934
  • Students protested for a wide range of government reforms in Beijing. Both Nationalists and Communists wanted to unify China.
  • Japanese Invasion, 1937
  • Let's join forces to fight against the Japanese.
  • After China was unified, the Nationalists and the Communists fought against each other for control of China. Chiang Kai Shek was a Nationalist leader who killed many Communists. Mao Zedong was a Communist leader.
  • Mao Zedong led Nationalists on the Long March, where they travelled over 6,000 miles to a place where they could build a safe Communist base.
  • Soon we will be in a safe place to build our Communist community.
  • The Japanese invaded China in 1937, so Nationalists and Communists agreed to work together to resist them. This ended their Civil War, but it weakened the Nationalists and allowed for the Communists to grow.
