  • The people involved in the Battle of the Guilford Court House were the  British troops and the Continental Army.
  • This battle took place in Greensboro North Carolina.
  • The people in Command were Charles Cornwallis leading the British troops and Nathaniel Greene leading the Continental Army.
  • The battle was fought with 1,900 British soldiers and 4,400 American Soldiers. More than 25% of the British soldiers were killed captured or wounded. In the end the Americans retreated. 
  • Lots of dead British soldiers
  • Americans retreating
  • This battle ended with the Americans retreating and the British automatically winning.
  • British are happy they won.
  • Americans are mad and sad about the loss.
  • This battle was important because it was another step towards gaining independence in America even though it was a loss. Also it shows how the Americans redeemed themselves near the end of the Revolutionary War.
  • It payed off in the end!
