  •  It's foolish and wicked!
  • DESCRIPTION: Mrs. White forces Mr. White to down to the parlor to get the Monkeys Paw to wish for her son back.  CAMERA ANGLE: For this scene the camera angle is a high angle shot because it shows the comparison of Mrs. White on the ground to Mr. White standing up. MUSIC: (1:10 - 1:40) LIGHTING/ FILTERS: The lighting in this scene is dark because it is in the middle of the night and it is creepy. MOOD/ THEME/ FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is desperate because the viewers feel desperate for Mr. White to give in. This scene shows the mood don't mess with fate because Mrs. White wouldn't have to beg Mr. White to wish for their son back if they didn't mess with fate in the first place. The scene shows foreshadowing because the viewer can infer that Mr. White will give in to Mrs. White because she is begging him.
  • I wish my son alive again.
  • DESCRIPTION: Mr. White walks downstairs to retrieve the paw to wish for Herbert back, against his will.  CAMERA ANGLE: In this scene the camera angle is a close up shot because there is not much going on in the background and its only Mr. White so you can see what his emotions are, which are worried and anxious. MUSIC: (0:00 - 0:30) LIGHTING/ FILTERS: The lighting during this scene is dark because Mr. White is walking down the stairs and there is no light or windows. MOOD/ THEME/ FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is worrisome because Mr. White looked scared and anxious as he climbed down the stairs making the viewer nervous.  This scene supports the theme don't mess with fate because they wouldn't be up at this hour if Herbert was alive. This represents foreshadowing because if Mr. White was worried, along with the worrisome music the viewer could infer something bad was going to happen.
  • DESCRIPTION: Mrs. White screamed at Mr. White to scare him into wishing for Herbert to become alive again. CAMERA ANGLE: The camera angle for this scene is a high shot angle to show the comparison of Mr. and Mrs. White to the Monkeys Paw on the shelf. LIGHTING/ FILTERS: The lighting of this scene is dark because they are in the basement with no windows in the middle of the night and it gives the scene a creepy environment. MOOD/ THEME/ FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is scary because Mrs. White was acting scary since she hasn't acted like this at all during the story and it scares the viewers. The theme is supported by this scene because if the Whites never messed with fate, Mrs. White wouldn't have been driven to madness. This scene shows foreshadowing because since Mrs. White is so angry, the viewers could guess that Mr. White will do anything she says.
  • DESCRIPTION: Mr. White wished for Herbert to be alive again while Mrs. White waits hopefully. CAMERA ANGLE: This scene is an example of a high shot camera angle to show a comparison between all the objects in the room. MUSIC: (0:20 - 0:50) LIGHTING/ FILTERS: It is dark in this scene to show that something unnatural and disturbing is about to happen. MOOD/ THEME/ FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is creepy and disturbing because the readers know something bad will happen after they used the Monkeys Paw again. The theme of the story is don't mess with fate and the Whites are messing with fate by using the Monkeys Paw and bad things happen when they do that. Foreshadowing is show through the dark colors and the anticipation music.
  • DESCRIPTION: Herbert was coming out of the graveyard, as a zombie, after being wished alive by the Monkeys Paw. CAMERA ANGLE: The camera angle is a low shot angle to make Herbert look menacing. MUSIC: (1:15 - 1:40) LIGHTING/ FILTERS: This scene wouldn't allow for lighting so the graveyard is black to symbolize darker colors. MOOD/THEME/FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is scary because usually men do not walk out of their grave, and no one knows what could happen after this. This supports the theme of do not mess with fate because Herbert should'nt have been alive but the Monkey Paw made him alive again but in a zombie form, and the White family did not want Herbert back as a zombie. This scene foreshadows that Herbert might go to the Whit house because once he was out of the grave he had nowhere else to go.
  • DESCRIPTION: The zombie version of Herbert walks slowly up to the White house. CAMERA ANGLE: This is a low shot camera angle to show the height and distance of Herbert compared to the house. MUSIC: LIGHTING/ FILTERS: The filter on this scene is greyscale because it makes the viewer feel suspicious of what may happen if the door is opened. MOOD/ THEME/ FORESHADOWING: The mood of this scene is suspenseful because the viewers do not know what the zombie version of Herbert might do to the White family. This scene relates to the theme of don't mess with fate because Herbert could do anything to the White family now as a zombie, all because they did mess with fate. This scene foreshadows something bad or sad happening because Herbert was walking creepily and he might hurt the White family.
