Storyboard Text

  • Tim Travul in the Election of 1800.
  • One day on the way home from school...
  • We have ten days, I'll get it done later. Today I'm going to play on my Xbox.
  • What are you doing for your project?
  • 10 days later, and no project done...
  • Trust me. This isn't just any car. It's been passed down for generations. Just make sure to buckle up!
  • Dad, how is riding in one of your used cars supposed ot help me get my poster done? Do you know how long it will take just to do the research?
  • Welcome to the Election of 1800.
  • On the left, there is Thomas Jefferson. On the right, there is John Adams. Don't worry, they can't hear or see us.
  • You mean, we're actually here! I wish that  I had a camera to take a picture.
  • Actually, unlike today, not everyone voted. The people elected representatives to vote for them. This is where the three-fifths compromise really benefited Jefferson.
  • There ended up being multiple ties. As a result, the electors voted twice. Once for the president, and once for the vice president.
  • How could there be a tie, when so many people voted. How many citizens were there, like a billion?
  • Jefferson's presidency. You'll get to see why he maybe wasn't one of the best presidents.
  • That was fun. Where are we going now?
