How Spiders came to be created
Its the modern version (sort of!!!!!!!!!) =)
Once, in a kingdom named Lydia (now Turkey) there lived a proud orphan weaver named Arachne.
I am the best weaver in the world! No one is better than me!
Up in the sky Athena heard her,
How dare Arachne compare herself to the gods!
Yes, I am Arachne, the best weaver in the world. Everyone says Athena taught me but, she has done nothing. I would (If I could) challenge her to a weaving contest! Come on in and see!
Then, Athena decided to make sure that Archane had said that on purpose or if it was a drunken mistake. She disguised herself as an old lady.
Are you Arachne?
Fine! You are so going down cause I am the best!!!!
Athena excepts your challenge!
The two of them weaved. Arachne created a tapestry that showed the gods were mean, stupid, and childish while Athena created one about how the Olympian gods shouldn't be trifled with.
Angered at Arachne's tapestry, Athena turned Arachne into a spider
Let that be a lesson to you, never mess with the gods of Olympus.
