  • After the Fench and Indian war, the british was in the need of money. In order to gain money the british started the Stamp Act in 1765. The Stamp Act added a stamp on every peice of paper that added extra charges.

  • The Townshend Act was a series of laws passed by the British government on the American colonies during 1767 through 1768.
  • The Boston Massacare was an event that started with citizens protesting and military troops coming down to controll the situation. The soldiers ended up firing, killing 5, and injuring many. This took place in 1770.
  • The British Government started bringing tea to American colonies as another way to make a profit. In rage, the clonist snuck onto a boat, wearing Indian headbands, and dumped the tea into the boston harbor.
  • Once the British government found about about the Boston Tea Party, they set out a law on american colonist in 1774 that was meant to act as a punishment. Colonist called this the The Coercive Acts.
  • The Lexington and Concord was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. British troops started marching towards massachusetts bay where they would find troops of colonist. It ended with the Americans winning and the British retreating.
