Mary McLeod Bethune encouraged him to host a poetry reading down south and to live there. So, he took the advice and held many reading and he did move down south and his life was great because of that.
Langston Hughes was voted the finest poet of the 20th century. But sadly soon after, he died of Prostate cancer on may 22nd of 1967.
