  • Bread: bread was a big part of the revolution, it was one of the peasants main food sources and the government put a huge tax on it so the peasants could no longer afford it. Also king Louis XVI was spending way to much and not ding what was best for the people, they needed a new ruler.
  • The Storming of the Basitile

  • The Great Fear
  • The tennis court oath started when the members of the French estates-generals for the third estate wanted to meat but they got locked out of the meeting room so they met in an indoor tennis court
  • On July 1 1789, an angry mob stormed the bastille, which once was a prison but now was a symbol of the monarchy's dictatorial rule,(where you were imprisoned if you did not agree with the king). The mob freed all 7 prisoners.
  • The great fear was a period of panic and riot by the third estate. It started with rumors of nobles starving the peasants and towns people and in defense the towns people armed them selves and some stories noble manors.
