Storyboard Text

  • Sit down, I have some news to tell you.
  • Alright mother, I'm ready. What is it?
  • Your father decided that you will be getting married on Thursday to the charming Count Paris, making you a happy woman.
  • I shall not marry this man, if I am to marry anyone it will be Romeo!
  • Let's go downstairs so we can discuss this with your father.
  • What is there to discuss, I love Romeo, not a stranger.
  • In this first scene, Lady Capulet (Juliet's mother) is going to inform Juliet about some news that is very important, and could possibly be life changing.
  • Father... I will not be marrying this man regardless what you and mother say.
  • Lady Capulet tells Juliet she will be getting married on Thursday, but Juliet quickly refuses, wanting her first marriage to be with her love, Romeo.
  • I've been looking my whole life to find Juliet a husband, and when I do, she acts like a child and wants to play games.
  • Juliet and her mother go downstairs to discuss this conversation further with Capulet (Juliet's father). The reason Lady Capulet seems tense is because Lady Capulet and Capulet are not fond of Romeo, especially the fact that her daughter adores him.
  • From now on, I will never tell anyone how I actually feel. If that does not work, then I at least can figure out what to do from there.
  • When they go downstairs, Juliet tells her dad how she feels about this situation and Capulet is furious of how she feels towards Romeo.
  • Never communicate with me again, I do not associate with fools!!
  • Simile-" find Juliet a husband, and when I do, she acts like a child and wants to play games." Capulet is saying that Juliet is acting immature as a child and wanting to play games since he feels she is not listening to him.
  • Nobody talk to me, I am done with this nonsense!!
  • In this last slide, Juliet thinks to herself that she does not have anyone to tell them how she feels because they never agree with her.
