  • This means that if you take a picture, write a song, or shoot a video, that is legally yours, and no one can use your pictures, songs, or videos without your consent until you die plus 70 years after your death. Songs like
  • Old Town Road and
  • show a picture of a scene from the "Old Town Road" music video
  • Never Gonna Give You Up
  • show a picture of a scene from the "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video
  • are copyrighted, because both of the writers of the songs are still living and neither have been dead for 70+ years, and you can not use these songs in videos without permission. There is one exception though, and that is fair use, which Jackson will be going over.
