Storyboard Text

  • S: Symbol:
  • This symbolizes the North Star because that is what the slaves followed to get to freedom.
  • I: Imagery:
  • F: Figure of Speech:
  • Symbolizes: searching for freedom. Quote: "This railroad to freedom" This means they are on their journey to freedom.
  • F: Figure of Speech:
  • Freedom of flight
  • "His clothes are tattered, his feet are bare; they bleed from frostbite." It's saying he has torn, and dirty clothes. He has no shoes, and his feet are bleeding from the cold weather which caused him to have frostbite. This helps me visualize what he looks like escaping.
  • T: Tone and Theme
  • " I know it's cold but we have to keep going!"
  • Allusion: "The conductors that guided me have been led by God " This could be the three Wiseman going to see baby Jesus following the stars.
  • T: Tone and Theme:
  • "Never give up!"
  • Alliteration: "Freedom through flight" It's alliteration because of the "F" son in the words freedom adn flight.
  • Tone: Determined and hard working. B/c even though he has frostbite he still continues on his journey. " On and on in the dead of the night."
  • Theme: To stay motivated and never give up.
