- The seasons and years pass, and the two keep sending each other letters. And every so often, the they would meet at night in the town square.

- Eventually, both Irene and Eumelia got married, and had families, but they still continued to write to each other

- But they still wanted to be able to join together in person, during the day. One day, Irene had an idea
- Come to the court house tomorrow, and bring your family; I have a plan! (And where your nicest cloths)
- The next day, at the court house...
- I, Irene, am deeming you, Eumelia, and your family, nobles.
- This meant that Irene's mother would be okay with them being friends! Irene brought Eumelia's family into her court.
