  • Started on April 12, 1861 and ended in April 13 1861.Brig. Gen. Beauregard was with the confederate and Major Robert Anderson was with the Union. General Beauregard send out soldiers to attack Fort Sumter that is located in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. So, Beauregard's men made Robert Anderson to surrender by bombing the fort. Results of the battle Confederate's won and began the Civil War or were the first shots fired.
  • Emancipation Proclamation
  • The battle of Antietam began in September 17, 1862 and ended in the same day. General Robert E. Lee was with the Confederate and General George McClellan was with the Union. The battle of Antietam was one of the  bloodiest and deadliest one-day battle in all American history with having a total of 3,650 deaths and more than 23,000 casualties.
  • Battle of Grettysburg
  • The battle of Vicksburg started on May 18,1863 and ended in July 4, 1863. General Ulysses S. Grant was with the Union and General/commander of Vicksburg John Pemberton was with the Confederate. Grant wanted to take over Vicksburg but every attempts he tried would fail till he took a big risk and made a John to surrender. Results of the battle Union won and controls Vicksburg which allows them to control the Mississippi river too.

  • Emancipation Proclamation started on January 1, 1863. When the Civil War started Abraham Lincoln was looking out for the actions of the Union instead to take action on the slavery. By 1862 thousands of slaves join to Northern armies because they were fighting for their freedom. Since that got Lincoln's attention it convince him to do the Emancipation Proclamation declaring that all slaves in rebellious states shall be forever free but it didn't free any single slave so the nation started to fight for human freedom.
  • The battle of Gettysburg start on July 1, 1863 and ended in July 3, 1863. General Robert E. Lee was with the Confederate and General General George G. Meade was with the Union. Lee wanted to take down military posts as possible in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Camp Curtin, and Harrisburg.
  • In April 9 1865 close by the tow of Appomattox Court House, Virginia, General Robert. E Lee from the Confederate surrenders to General Ulysses. S Grant. and gives his Northern Virginia army to Grant. Four years of war the War finally ended
