  • To get the circumference you multiply the diameter by 3.14

  • Lets say that you want to buy a basketball but is has to be 29.5 inches and you only have a ruler
  • It's from a garage sale
  • To get the circumference you multiply the diameter by 3.14
  • The radius is 9.39 so you multiply that by 2 to get the diameter which is 18.78
  • Then take 18.78 and multiply it by 3.14
  • 
  • To get the circumference you multiply the diameter by 3.14
  • THE FINAL ANSWER IS 29.5
