Fine. You can't go alone.
Welcome to VELOCITY! Face your fears - or meet your DOOM!
Now that you've seen it, let's go.
Come on! Don't be such a scaredy-cat. Just a little bit farther.
Lexi joined Harper on the other side, taking in the disaster Velocity had become. They might as well have entered an old movie. All color had been drained away, giving the grounds a lifeless appearance.
Wow. The tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world- Velocity Extreme- is in this park! We have to go see it.
A disembodied child's voice eerily echoed throughout the park, sending chills down the girls' spines. On further inspection, there were no speakers, electricity, or other people to be seen. The park hadn't seen electricity since it closed.
Shaking her head, Lexi refused to let Harper wander off by herself into an unknown environment. Her conscience and friendship raged a battle inside of her. In the end, she followed Harper warily.
I thought you said no one's been here for years.
Harper was filled with nothing but her new idea, putting up blinders to any outsiders input, including Lexi. For Lexi, that meant staying with her in an attempt to prevent any more unwise actions.
The two girls continued walking until Lexi noticed something on the counter of one of the closed ice cream shops. It was an ice cream cone - with the ice cream unmelted and perched on top, despite the heat in the air. A strange glow was emmitting from it.
Bewildered looks were exchanged, and Lexi tried, once again, to get Harper to leave. "Velocity Extreme isn't far now!" Harper claimed. "Then we can go." Lexi pursed her lips but said nothing.
