Princess Ariadne looks down from her palace balcony and sees the usual children which would be fed to the Minotaur. A half bull half man monster. She then sees Theseus and falls in love with him.
Ariadne realises that Theseus would be fed to the Minotaur. She devises a plan to rescue Theseus and escape the palace with him. She prays to the Goddess Aphrodite and her plan is then all set.
If the sails are black, then it would mean i'm dead, if the sails are white, it means i'm alive. We must change the sails to white afterwards.
Ariadne says prayers to the Goddess Aphrodite and starts to carry out her plan. She gets the cellar keys and runs down to where Theseus is locked up. She tells him that if he kills the Minotaur, he would help her escape and marry her.
Ariadne gives Theseus a ball of twine and a sword. Theseus then enters the labyrinth while leaving a trail if twine behind him. . At last they encounter each other and the fight begins. The minotaur angry already that his lunch hasn't come yet leaps at Theseus. The beast leaps again but this time, Theseus impales the sword upon the Minotaur.
Following the twine back, Theseus exits the labyrinth and finds Ariadne waiting for him. The two along with a ship crew get onto a ship and sail away from the kingdom of King Minos. At last Ariadne felt she was free. They came to an uncharted island where they would rest for the night.
The next morning, Ariadne wakes up to find herself alone. She feels a slight panic and then sees Theseus's ship sailing away. Luckily the black sails are up meaning Theseus's father would kill himself for Theseus's punishment. Ariadne gives herself a bleak smile.
