Hardships & Challenges
During the Battle at Saratoga there was a lot going on in the militias that were beneficial to them. For example, a lot more men were joining thenks to Wentworth Cheswell who was a black man who encouraged a lot of men to join the militias. Also the militias had surrounded the British which ended up with them surrendering.
Women along with many others were treated unfairly for either their race, gender, or what you were. They were not able to vote or have any rights. Some women who worked for soldiers in the Revolution either were spies or disguised themselves as men and joined the army.
The Revolution had terrible timing for the militia because at the time there were ongoing wars at the time the Revolutionary war started. Also at Valley Forge the militia had no way of providing themselves warmth or food.
