Many people wanted to get rid of Humayun and be in control. Even his own brothers wanted him out of the way.
Humayun eventually lost the Muslim Mughal kingdom to Sher Shah Suri in 1540. After he lost his kingdom, he fled to Iran (Persia).
Humayun met a strong leader that helped him prepare to retake the Mughal Kingdom. He also married an Iranian princess called Hamida, and they had a son called Akbar.
Humayun was impressed by Iranian art so he decided to take 2 famous painters to return back to Lahore and Delhi with him.
Humayun started taking back land he took Kabul back in 1553. He then took control of Delhi and became emperor once again in 1555.
Humayun died by falling down his stairs in 1556.
