Storyboard Text

  • Many people wanted to get rid of Humayun and be in control. Even his own brothers wanted him out of the way.
  • Humayun eventually lost the Muslim Mughal kingdom to Sher Shah Suri in 1540. After he lost his kingdom, he fled to Iran (Persia).
  • Humayun met a strong leader that helped him prepare to retake the Mughal Kingdom. He also married an Iranian princess called Hamida, and they had a son called Akbar.
  • Humayun was impressed by Iranian art so he decided to take 2 famous painters to return back to Lahore and Delhi with him.
  • Humayun started taking back land he took Kabul back in 1553. He then took control of Delhi and became emperor once again in 1555.
  • Humayun died by falling down his stairs in 1556.
