  • Trompenaars Cultural Dimension
  • I believe that it is important for me to achieve my personal goals, regardless of the consequences that could affect others around me
  • I have to disagree. I believe that the goals of the society as a whole must be given priority. That way, more people can prosper.
  • Trompenaars Cultural Dimension
  • What is the matter with you people?! Don't you know what you should be doing? This is unacceptable!
  • Why are you so angry? Wouldn't it be better if you kept your emotions hidden?
  • The first minute of the video will include the Thailand flag, pictures of its people, local cultures, some history, demography, and politics of the country. No actors included, instead narration will be done by the students.
  • Do's and Don't's
  • Who is that old guys in the picture on the wall? He smiles funny.
  • That is unacceptable. You cannot disrespect our king! The deal is off!
  • Ex 1 : Individualism vs Collectivism. The first Trompenaars Cultural Dimension is acted out by the student. The actors will explain each others' stand in the situation. One will be from Thailand and the other from different culture.
  • Do's and Don't's
  • So can we now finalize our deal?
  • Ex 2: Neutral vs Affective. The second Trompenaars Cultural Dimension is acted out by students by role playing a situation in different countries and show how it differs with Thailand's
  • Conclusion and credit
  • You have just watched our video about the Fons Trompenaars seven cultural dimension, and a simple guideline to do business in Thailand 
  • Ex 1: Disrespect the King's picture. As Thais are very loyal to their king, it would be wise to refrain yourselves from commenting about pictures of him. The king's picture can be seen almost everywhere in Thailand. 
  • Ex 2: Hierarchical problem. Thai companies have a very rigid hierarchy structure. Make sure you know who you are dealing with and what decision-making power he possesses. 
  • Everything looks great. But i have to ask my boss. I can't make any decision now.
  • Conclusion of the video and credit given where it is due. 
  • We would like to thank our lecturer,groupmates,and everyone who helped us to complete this video.
