  • Battle of Brooklyn
  • ZZZZZZ
  • Battle of Trenton
  • Hessian Base
  • Battle of Princeton
  • The British won this battle because they had five times as many soldiers as the Americans. Also, the Continental Army had poor military discipline and was not very experienced.
  • Battle of Saratoga
  • They're over there!
  • The Battle of Trenton took place on Christmas, and George Washington planned an attack on the Hessians across the Delaware River. The Americans won because of how unexpected the attack was.
  • Winter at Valley Forge
  • On New Year's Eve, the Battle of Princeton took place and the Americans burned a bridge. That was a turning point in the battle.
  • Battle of Yorktown
  • Oh no, I'm surrounded!
  • One frequently used strategy in the Battle of Saratoga was to leave out tents in a certain place to trick the enemy into thinking they were there. This strategy was misleading and unexpected.
  • American soldiers at Valley Forge suffered from cold, disease, and hunger, and many women came to help.
  • General Cornwallis's decision to station his troops near the York River gave the Americans an advantage. While the French surrounded the British on the river, the Americans waited on land. The British surrendered, ending the Revolution.
