  • Hello im Nurse Adan, and today ill be taking down your blood pressure..
  • Step 4- Reading the blood pressure
  • Before you start locate where the pulse of the patient and put the blood pressure cuff
  • Step 5- Recording the blood pressure
  • Slide the cuff onto the arm, making sure that the stethoscope head is over the artery and that the arrow is towards the vein. The lower edge of the cuff should be about 1 inch above the bend of your elbow.
  • Step 6- Telling your patient
  • This is your blood Pressure
  • Now Inflate the cuff by squeezing the bulb with your right hand. You may hear your pulse in the stethoscope. Listen carefully for the first pulse beat. As soon as you hear it, note the reading on the gauge. Listen carefully until the sound disappears. As soon as you can no longer hear your pulse, note the reading on the gauge And this will be the your patient pressure..
  • And now label the blood pressure. Record the date, time, systolic and diastolic pressures. For example, Samantha 3/19/21 @ 10:05 A.M 110/90
