  •   In 499 B.C.E is were is were the Persian wars began. The Greeks went there to help them fight the Persians. They won the first battles and left.
  • Battle of Salamis
  • In 490 B.C.E in Greece, King Darius, fought Greeks. The Greeks had won the battle because the Greeks had a plan to attack.
  • Battle of Plataea
  • In 480 B.C.E in Thermopylae, near Sparta, King Xerxes {King Darius son} fought Sparta and Athens. The Persians won the battle because they had much more men. 
  • Effects
  • In 480 B.C.E in Greece, the Greeks allies and the Persian navy fought. The Greeks  won because they were determined to win.
  • In 479 B.C.E in the town of Platea, the Persians fought the Greeks. The Greeks won the battle because they had independence.
  • After the Greek-Persians wars {that ended in 479 B.C.E}, the Greeks won after all.
