  • Plebeian aediles were elected by the Plebeian Council, usually while under the presidency of a Plebeian Tribune. Curule aediles were elected bythe Tribal Assembly, usually while under the presidency of a consul. Since the plebeian aediles were elected by the plebeians, rather than byall of the People of Rome (plebeians as well as members of the Patrician aristocracy),they were not technically magistrates. But Plebeians can also become curuleaediles, but mostly curule aediles are usually partricians.
  • Quintis, as a plebian aedile, He guards the rights of plebs with respect to their head quarters, the temple of Ceres. They also had responsibility for maintenance of the city’s buildings.  They also plan and supervise events and festivals,
